PREVIEWS

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST

With the title under lock and key in Penrhyncoch’s possession, the battle for second place and a promotion play-off spot is the chief focus this weekend.

In-form Bow Street can stay in contention for the runners-up berth with a win over Cefn Albion, while fellow contenders Llanuwchllyn can stay in the picture with victory away to Llangollen Town.

Champions Penrhyncoch face a tricky trip to Builth Wells, whose lengthy unbeaten run ended in midweek at the hands of Bow Street.

Even though nothing rides on this game for the title winners, they can still edge the honours at Builth.

Llandrindod Wells should have too much for their visitors Llansantffraid, while Radnor Valley have a more than decent chance of maximum points at Llanfair United.

SCORECASTS

Bow Street 3 Cefn Albion 1
Builth Wells 1 Penrhyncoch 2
Llandrindod Wells 2 Llansantffraid 0
Llanfair United 1 Radnor Valley 3
Llangollen Town 0 Llanuwchllyn 2

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

It is between leaders Flint Mountain and third-place Llay Welfare for the title – and both are in action on Saturday.

Mountain, who established themselves as favourites with a huge 5-1 victory at Llay on Wednesday, are a strong bet to scoop another three points at home to Pwllheli.

Llay, meanwhile, have a testing trip coming up at St Asaph City, but with what’s at stake a narrow away win is on the cards.

In a mid-table clash, Brickfield Rangers can emerge victorious at home to Llangefni Town, while bottom side Saltney Town will do well to take a point at home to Nantlle Vale, a team which has gone off the boil somewhat of late.

Y Felinheli are fighting for survival and this may be a key factor when they entertain a Llannefydd side safe and secure in seventh spot.

Sunday sees Holyhead Hotspur, looking to secure fourth place when they visit Llanrwst United.

While the Rwsters are much improved of late, a Hotspur side seeking a ninth straight league win and aiming to make it 16 league matches unbeaten can edge the verdict at Parc Gwydir.

SCORECASTS

Brickfield Rangers 3 Llangefni Town 1
Flint Mountain 3 Pwllheli 0
Saltney Town 2 Nantlle Vale 2
St Asaph City 1 Llay Welfare 2
CPD Y Felinheli 2 CPD Llannefydd 1
Llanrwst United 0 Holyhead Hotspur 2
