Jade Jones – Taekwondo

Age: 31

Jade Jones is a name synonymous with excellence in taekwondo. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Jones is aiming for a historic third consecutive gold in the women’s 57kg category. Known for her agility, technique, and fighting spirit, she has consistently dominated her sport. Jeremiah Azu – 100m Sprint

Age : 23

Age: 21

From: Carmarthen

At 21 Emma Finucane is a strong contender for a Welsh gold at this Olympics. She’s World and European champion, with a true pedigree and real class, looking to add an Olympic Gold to that list. Shes competing for 3 golds in Paris, and had a good chance to win all 3- on her day there is no one to challenge her. But we know the pressure and intensity of the Olympics is different, and a lot that can happen in the world of track sprinting. No doubt Emma is on of Wales great Gold hopes.

Elinor Barker – Cycling

Age: 29

From: Cardiff

Elinor Barker is another athlete who has already tasted Olympic success. A gold medalist in the team pursuit at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Barker is known for her endurance and tactical acumen on the track. This time, she aims to add to her medal tally in both the team and individual events. With multiple World Championship titles to her name, Barker’s experience and skill set make her a formidable competitor. Her ability to perform under pressure will be crucial as she seeks to bring more Olympic glory to Wales.

Matt Richards – Swimming

Age : 21

From : Droitwich (Welsh Father)

Matt Richards already has an Olympic gold medal, at 18 years old he became the nations youngest Olympic champion in Tokyo 3 years ago.  It was Wales first Olympic swimming gold since 1912 – and hes looking to replicate that success again in Paris. He’s in good form having become World Champion in 200m freestyle and qualifying for 3 events – 50m, 100m, 200m, with potentially 3 more relays to follow. “Im in the shape of my life. Coming off the back of becoming world champion fills me with a lot of confidence”
