Welsh trainers Sam Thomas, Tim Vaughan and Rebecca Curtis will all start the Easter racing action at Hereford on Thursday afternoon.
The trio all have horses at the meeting, which kicks off five days of racing across the county and spans the two bank holidays on Friday and Monday.
Prince Des Fichaux, riden by Shane Quinlan, runs for Thomas in the opening race and is among the early priced favourites. He was second three weeks ago at Fontwell Park, behind Spike Jones.
Lump Sum then goes in the last race of the day, with jockey Sam Twiston-Davies on board for Thomas, who is gearing up for a crack at the Aintree Grand National next week with Our Power.
Vaughan has Kalpaga running in the 3.35, with Welsh jockey Alan Johns in the saddle, who recently passed 20 winners for the season.
Lump Sum will face a Welsh challenge from Mac’s Legacy, trained by Curtis, in a maiden run for the six-year-old.
Leading Welsh jockey Sean Bowen will be in action at Wetherby on Thursday afternoon, with three rides as he seeks to add to his total of 118 winners for the season.
Bowen is currently second in the Jump Jockey’s Championship – behind leader Brian Hughes.
He rides Barony Legends in the 2.00, Resplendent Grey in the 2.35, and First Class Return who he hopes will deliver the goods in the 3.10.
Adam Wedge will ride Icone D’Aubrelle in the 2.00 at Wetherby, then And The New in the 3.45.
There is also afternoon flat racing at Chelmsford and an evening flat meeting at both Southwell, with more racing over the hurdles in the evening at Clonmel.
