Gerwyn Price has already cracked it Cardiff, numbed them in Nottingham and Newcastle, and battered them in Brighton.
Now, he aims to ruin his rivals in Rotterdam when the Premier League Darts roadshow reaches the Dutch city on Thursday night.
Price has already won four times in the weekly competition – more than anyone else – and stands just two points behind leader Michael van Gerwen in the table.
His fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton has also found great form in recent weeks and stands in fourth place after back-to-back victories in Berlin and Birmingham.
But it is Price who will be favourite to upset Van Gerwen in front of the Dutchman’s own fans and The Ice Man has even claimed he will be wearing an orange shirt to get the Ahoy Arena supporters onside.
Price beat current world champion Michael Smith, 6-3 in the final in Brighton a week ago and says one of the secrets to his upturn in performance has been more rest and an improved diet.
“I’m feeling better, maybe I have a bit more energy and obviously winning breeds confidence,” he says. “As long as I keep winning, I’ll keep playing better.”
And of the work that makes him the fittest looking player on the circuit?
“I think it’s a culmination of everything. I’ve taken on a gluten free diet which makes me feel better within myself, maybe it’s psychological, I don’t know.”
Whether it was the quinoa and buckwheat, or the Brighton sea air, something is making Price feel good and it fed through to his throwing.
He registered a 115.97 average in his quarter-final match against Chris Dobey – the highest in the Premier League since 2017.
“I know in Pro Tours and practice I’ve been better than this, but you need to prove it on the big stage and now I’m starting to do it,” adds Price.
“I believe I’m still a novice in this game and in the next two or three years I’ll improve a lot and be more consistent.”
The former rugby player starts by resuming battle against Smith in his first match, while Clayton opens proceedings against Dobey.
Dmitri Van den Bergh plays Peter Wright, while Van Gerwen faces Nathan Aspinall.
After Rotterdam, there will be just four more rounds to go before the Premier League final in London at The O2 on May 25.
Van Gerwen tops the table on 29 points with three wins under his belt. Price has 27 points, nine more than third-placed Smith, who is one point above Clayton in fourth.
