Bargoed Bullet is primed and ready: Wednesday Horse Racing Preview

The Bargoed Bullet is primed and ready to fire towards the winning post at Bath on Wednesday.

Welsh jockey David Probert is his usual busy self with six rides booked at the flat meeting at the Lansdown course.

His best chances would appear to be on All In The Hips in the second race of the day, the 6.40pm Blackmore Development Handicap, and We’re Reunited in the 7.10pm Liam James Anderson handicap.

All in the Hips was second at Bath last month behind Gustav Ucicky, while We’re Reunited was a winner at the course in May.

Probert is also on board Urban Forest (6.10), Lunatick ((7.40), The Jackler (8.10) and Private Bryan (8.45) as he aims to build on his double at Epsom last week.

Welsh trainer David Evans has an entry at Yarmouth – Level Up – ridden by Owen Lewis in the 4.55pm Quinnbet Acca Bonus Handicap.

Level Up was a winner last time out at Newbury, winning by a nose from Symbol Of Hope.

Another Welsh flat race trainer with hopes on Wednesday is Bernard Llewellyn, who has two horses running at Lingfield.

Ascot Day goes in the 3.30, the Menzies Distribution Selling Handicap , a horse that finished eighth at Chepstow last time out.

Llewellyn also Remedium looking for his first career win in the same race.

There are also flat meetings on Wednesday at Catterick and Kempton.

Kieran Shoemark will deputise for the suspended Frankie Dettori on Oaks winner Soul Sister for Friday’s Grand Prix de Paris.

Shoemark partnered Soul Sister on Newmarket’s July course, although Dettori has ridden the daughter of Frankel in all three of her starts this season, with Robert Havlin in the saddle when she won her sole outing as a juvenile.

She gave Dettori a seventh Oaks and his 23rd British Classic success when beating Savethelastdance by a length and three-quarters at Epsom.

However, with the 52-year-old Italian having picked up a whip ban at Royal Ascot, Shoemark comes in for the ride on the sole British-trained runner in a field of eight for the Group One prize at ParisLongchamp.
